In Bromeliad you are stranded on a pacific island where you are a Human-Bear. You will have to survive, gathering materials to build tools and bases. You will need to hunt for food, explore, survive and find an element to return to normal.
- Survive and explore this living island.
- Chop down trees and break rocks to craft tools, build bases...
- Tame animals and creatures and keep them as pets, to protect you from enemies.
- At night creatures will attack, so be ready.
- And much more...
Basic food & water requirements made easy by the lack of scarcity.
Off the bat I’m going to call this a NEIGH for myself. While the map is pretty, the AI of the aggressive animals and of the main ‘foe’ type creatures = clunky AF. I’m not a fan of the ‘human-bear hybrid’ look, though I have to admit at least it’s something unique for the genre. And frankly, there’s not a lot to do – though he’s adding stuff over time. I think this could be basically summarized as "it's better on paper than it is in execution" and the bugs/issues are numerous. However. I didn't refund it.
The developer is very passionate about his project, frequently posting updates to both Discord and Steam news. Also, this video is adorable/endearing. Hopefully buying a copy of the game helps out! I'm just going to rate this neutral- it may be something you pick up to try out, or pick up on sale, etc. I'll call it neutral simply because there are worse games out there.
There is no additional Hashtag Survival content on this game at this time.
