The only thing I noticed in the playtest thus far were indicators for food and water, though they didn't seem to have much impact. It remains to be seen if the game trends more towards survival or remains basic survival horror.
I hopped into the playtest. To quote a community member, "the game was bad, and it should feel bad."
It... it's a rough ride, my friends. We can lump some things under "in development": terrible font choices, janky UI, missing SFX, the saving system is wonky, and lack of key bind options. The combat is clunky AF, and the AI, in both pathing & combat, is equally rough. A June release date seems optimistic, even into Early Access.
