This update spans from July 14th to August 1st. Join the Discord or follow the Twitter account for time sensitive updates!
Above Snakes- The developer has continued to blitz right along with updates and changes to the game based on community feedback. Talk about a successful alpha period! The latest update news actually was released in a handy new video format!
Breakwaters- It’s fantastic when a developer does a summation post of things cause then I can just link to it.
Forever Skies- Will be participating in the Steam Survival Fest by holding a live AMA on their YouTube channel on August 3rd at 3PM Eastern timezone. As always I highly encourage joining their Discord or following them on social media, because they showcase teaser visuals pretty frequently.
Green Hell- Oh man I’m almost hesitant to tell you this because you’ll leave the post but GH just released their Animal Husbandry update, so you know everyone is getting in there to breed some CAPYBARAS. And you can pet them.
Hold Your Own- Long suffering fans of the game rejoiced with the new chonky update put out on the live branch by the new developer. Good things ahead!
Icarus- Is it really necessary to remind you that Icarus pumps out meaty updates all the fucking time? Prolly not.
Jaws of Extinction- To put it mildly, this is a massive fucking update. Please jump to the link and read about all of the content additions, changes, fixes and more.
Karagon- If you missed out on the first incarnation of the demo, the developer has released a new playtest demo on its own freestanding page titled Karagon Prelude.
KeepUp Survival- If you had a big sad on the lack of zombies in the game, never fear because the developer added some to a free DLC. So zombie your little heart away!
Last Oasis- Sometime today (8/1/2022) the developers should be announcing specific details about the status of the new season and the whole new direction for the game. Remember that this is based on all of the input and polls from players during their beta tests.
Life Not Supported- While this demo was previously available only on itch.io, the (solo) developer was able to get it onto Steam just in time for Survival Fest! Time to experience & survive space.
Mist Survival- What the hell it’s like every time we despair and nothing happens, the developer posts some giant thing with visuals and details and notes and updates. Whhhyy?
Outbreak Island- Small update from the developers, basically a game summation and some flashy visuals. The Prelude (demo) was plugged again but just listed as “soon”. Glad to see at least there’s forward motion?
Ozone Wipeout- Another detailed and informative progress report by the developer. Great read!
Project Castaway- Briefly helped them out a smidgen with setting up some Discord permissions as I took a look around. Everything about how they’re handling things is kinda odd to me- and that, coupled with their Steam developer history, led me to leave their server in July of 2022.
Project Zomboid- Developers go into a lot of super intricate details and numbers and images about build 42. You should probably just go over and read their post, it has pictures and that makes shit easier.
Remnants- How cool is this wind cart?? And obviously neat stuff in the rest of the patch notes.
SCUM- Just here to say STOP TEASING AWESOME STUFF AND RELEASE IT ALREADY. Sad face emoji.
Serum- Game Island (GI) the folks behind Serum – and like 3 or 4 other titles ‘in the works’- have finally made a couple of posts. One fluff piece and one letting people know that they signed with Toplitz as a publisher. I think they could have done better but who knows, maybe having a publisher will get them to focus and make some forward progress?
SurrounDead– I still need to try this game but the developer is killing it with patch pacing. Also I love his patch notes, especially the little section about community input changes, and just how each section is organized.
Survival: Fountain of Youth – Pretty neat glimpse of another island that’s under development. Really if you haven’t tried this demo yet, I don’t know how to help you. They’re also adding localization in other languages, which is pretty handy.
Survive the Nights- I know there’s a decent amount of time in between updates for this game, but when they do drop they’re so nice and detailed- these patch notes are CHEFS KISS.
The Last Plague: Blight – Formerly known as simply Blight, the developer recently changed the name of the game.
The Planet Crafter- Sticking with their game roadmap and content interval, the developers have dropped the newest update for the game – the aptly featured ‘Insects & Waterfall’ update.
