Above Snakes- Still loving these devlogs & updates, check out this one on the upcoming farming system and plans for future game development.
Blind Descent- Developers are back to work and have a plan!
Bromeliad- While I knew the developer was working on multiplayer, I honestly figured the game was on slow slide towards expiration – especially with no news really since April of this year. But the multiplayer patch dropped this past Friday, so perhaps development will resume on the game overall?
Deadside- To be quite honest, I hopped in and out of this game often in the start of the year. It’s never clicked with me (not while SCUM and DayZ exist) but lately the details in these small content patch drops have shown it moving in a neat direction. (Basically to be more like the games I listed earlier.)
Floodland- If you like SimSurvivals, like Frostpunk and Endzone-World Apart, check this game out. You can download the demo for free during Steam Next Fest, which ends October 10th. I really enjoy their detailed developer blogs!
Forever Skies- Man I felt pretty special to be randomly selected for the demo, at least until it released two days later to everyone with Next Fest. Ha! Don’t forget to fill out their feedback form!
Goner- I guess their Discord being pretty empty of updates is by intention, as a developer confirmed in Discord chat on October 8th that they are only (intentionally) posting development updates to their Kickstarter backers privately. The game will no longer launch into Early Access and will instead be a full release on day 1. Whenever that is.
Green Hell- You can now name your pets.
Icarus– CONTENT PATCHES EVERY WEEK. No really, every week.
Last Oasis- I don’t even know what’s going on with this game anymore. Recent reviews are in the tank, the developers are still making huge changes as part of their ‘entire game overhaul’ – so at this point just scroll through the updates for recent posts and excessive comment vitriol.
Mist Survival- Mist with another randomly dropped progress report, looks like a new dog is in the works!
Night of the Dead- Okay so either hit this link up for the HUGE amount of content that got added to the beta branch for testing. OR. Hit it to look at a picture of a penguin. You decide.
Nightingale- Don’t forget to hit up their website and sign up for the newsletter! Newsletter folks will be receiving emails that contain a survey that must be completed in order to have a shot at playtesting. THIS TEST IS UNDER NDA.
Rimworld- The “survival adjacent” colony ‘sim-vival’ game is getting their third expac, Biotech, soon- and the developers are dropping previews!
Winter Survival- Early Access is being pushed back, instead they’ll be releasing a free prologue to quell the hysteria.
