Shit That Caught My Eye - End O' Summer (Part1?)
RIP Dolly Parton :(
Well, fuck, sorry to hear that Dolly Parton passed! Check out this version of Jolene, if ya haven't already!
I've been thinking about the first two tabs for a bit. I just feel like the stance of the second link ("I don't want AI-generated content anywhere in my video games, but I especially don't want it anywhere near things that can be described as 'creative and artistic'") is going to have a hard time when UE6 comes out, since 6 seems to be digging deep into the AI shit and making it readily available to developers - and this is the same UE6 that will be REMOVING Blueprints, which means a lot of folks that relied on visual coding may be flailing around and latch on to any lifeline they have left.

I meaaan. They're not wrong.
This is kinda a neat dip into the Retro handheld space. Tempting, when game prices are heading to the stratosphere and companies are being dicks about selling you shit you don't own. (From this article.)
I love that my RSS feed (these days, at least) does a lot of skewing between 'AI IS BEST' and 'YOU ARE SHIT AND YOUR LITTLE AI IS TOO'

Though, to be fair, the "Hollywood disruptors" one isn't a bad read, it's about the upcoming co-op cult simulator Join Us. (Which, btw, is supposed to be a survival game??) The other article just sounds like a bunch of tech guys that are hard over AI, something something building a game is so expensive (let's not even get into the lack of creativity and IP milking these huge games are doing and how they're getting their asses whooped by things like PEAK and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) and only AI can save us.
Anyway you can go find it if you wanna read it.
Actually, speaking of the fight over AI, have you clocked any of the absolute fucking crap surrounding Rideshare "Simulator", a game that otherwise would - more than likely - just sit in a box with the dozen other games with the same general premise. It started (I think) with this:

Okay, so you'll want to go read the article for the entire breakdown, but lemme just show you a bit of the response from the CEO...

So...yeah.
Btw, this has completely tanked their fucking Steam forums.

What a timeline we live in. Anyway! Thanks for doing a bit of catching up with me, hopefully I can get the next one queued up shortly.
